Following the UK government’s announcement of £30 million investment to develop and deliver world-leading prototype quantum computers, our CEO and Co-founder Richard Murray was interviewed by LBC News.

In this interactive discussion, Richard explained how quantum computing was a complete reinvention of how we think about computing, and that traditional computers are fast approaching their limits in terms of performance and energy efficiency.

He outlined how the government is acquiring quantum systems for the National Quantum Computing Centre (NQCC) in Oxfordshire and will make them accessible to UK companies for trial purposes. For ORCA, this investment enables us to have our system trialled, used and adopted by the UK community.

Overall, this investment will help the UK get ahead of the curve in quantum computing and reinforce our position on the world stage.
