Academic Paper: The Travelling Salesman Problem
Daniel Goldsmith, Senior Quantum Computing Technologist, and Joe Day-Evans, Quantum Computing Technologist at Digital Catapult, have authored a paper on the Travelling Salesman Problem (which is subject to peer review). They present a novel and more efficient formulation beyond the commonly used Quadratic Unconstrained Binary Optimisation (QUBO) and Higher Order Binary Optimisation (HOBO) approaches. Their work used an ORCA PT-1 quantum boson sampler and demonstrated some promising results to more efficiently scale to larger networks compared to other approaches.
