Quantum Computing Watts the Future
Matt Watts Chief Technology Evangelist at NetApp interviewed our CEO and Co-founder Richard Murray about the impact quantum is going to have on computing, for NetApp’s new video ‘Quantum computing | Watts the Future.’
Richard discusses how the need for quantum has never been more present, with several big challenges facing the future of semiconductors and computing. He believes the top three industries to benefit from quantum over the next few years will be energy, defence, and finance, as they live and breathe having access to the very best computing.
He also provides advice for companies looking at quantum adoption: learn the abstractions you need to understand the system i.e., how the algorithm runs, but you don’t need to worry about understanding technical terms like ‘superposition’ to make an informed decision.
